Also, Lo Chun Shun really is the most classic best eunuch ever, true! haha

To Akazukin, I think Nancy's death was used to help confue the audience to whehter Wayne turned evil at the end. It's true that I didn't feel that much despair from Wayne after Nancy died either. I think that's because the story ended super fast after her death so everything was super speed/cut-shorter so they didn't leave time for that sad emphasis. Again, Wayne Lai is just awesome for his performance overall though! I'm glad he was a good guy in the very end. ^_^thelonemoonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3725313381170657513.post-19316599045657144402012-12-23T05:47:40.773-05:002012-12-23T05:47:40.773-05:00I agree with the abrupt changes to the character&#...I agree with the abrupt changes to the character's attitudes and mentalities. The biggest pitfalls of the series IMO. Seems like the scriptwriter did it to make drama, but in the end it doesn't turn up to be much drama.

I can't help but laugh when you said Lo Chun Sheun is the best eunuch ever. But it is true.

I find Nancy's death was ok but the aftermaths was done horribly. First, Wayne underperformed in the scene he found out Nancy died. I somehow couldn't feel his grief. It was meant to be an extremely emotional scene, given that it involves two most important persons in his life, his most doted disciple who he sees as his son has killed the woman he loves the most, the person he is closest to. There was also something a miss in the follow up jail scene. Even though Wayne has a lot of expressions and was tearing, he failed to draw me to symphatise with him. I don't know if it's the script or his expressions, or both, but I can't feel his grief for just losing the most important woman in his life and his dream broken down to pieces. Secondly, isn't Edwin meant to be handicapped thus the reason he hated Wayne so much? But how come he was so strong to defend himself against Wayne and how come he was so fast in running away? Thirdly, wasn't Nancy's death meant to change Wayne's style of doing things? But it hasn't. Wayne was still as loyal and forgiving as he ever was. That totally makes her death unnecessary, pointless, or even heartless.Akazukinnoreply@blogger.com
